St Davids Presbyterian Church

St David’s is a house of prayer, praise and worship. We are placed within the heart of the Wairarapa, a rapidly growing community, to be witnesses of God’s grace.

Welcome To St. David’s, Carterton

St David’s is a house of prayer, praise and worship placed within the heart of Carterton. We are real people, doing life together, who find meaning and purpose by endeavouring to live as the Word of God encourages.

Our world is changing rapidly, but God is still God – still standing with arms open wide to embrace all who seek Him.

We host a range of activities midweek as well as worship on Sundays. Our hope is that people of all ages and backgrounds experience a warm welcome within a safe space, where they can find a sense of belonging and connection – and meet the person of Jesus Christ.

We rejoice in cultural diversity and honour the Jewish roots of our Christian faith.

Announcements

This is such a special time of year when our focus is on Passover, the establishment of God’s New Covenant and Christ’s Resurrection. Such powerful truths for those who believe even 2000 years later! Jesus remains the most powerful and talked about man in history.

His purpose on coming to Jerusalem just prior to His crucifixion, was not to present Himself as Israel’s Messiah, as He had revealed Himself as Messiah many times and spoken of His Kingdom often … rather His purpose was to present Himself as the “Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world” (Jn 1:29)

Thursday 2nd April, 7pm, Don Knight will lead a short yet special reflective service. We will serve communion to those who wish to receive.

Sunday 5th April, 10am, a joyfilled service celebrating the realilty of the resurrection and how that affects us today and throughout eternity.

You are very welcome to come along and learn more, and be amazed afresh at the love of our Saviour.

Announcements

This coming Sunday, March 22nd, Ann Allen will be sharing on the “Illegalities of Christ’s Trial”. Did you know there were 20 Jewish laws broken in that short time? This will be an enlightening message giving us greater understanding of prophecies that were being fulfilled – Jesus was always in control – not His enemy!

You are very welcome to come along and learn more, and be amazed afresh at the love of our Saviour.
